Entrepreneurial Solutions Partners (ESP) is a consulting and investment firm with regional offices in Abidjan and Kigali, serving a wide range of entrepreneurs and policymakers in Africa. We believe in the power of entrepreneurs to bring prosperity. However, African entrepreneurs are facing a vicious circle that keeps their businesses small, under-capitalized and vulnerable. We exist to (i) help these entrepreneurs grow AND (ii) enable decision makers to design and implement relevant and innovative strategies for the private sector. ESP was founded in 2011 with the aim of helping African countries create a more competitive private sector.

Over the years, ESP has grown to become a leading consulting firm, with experience in more than 20 countries and more than 17 sectors, including development finance institutions and apex organizations, banks, private equity funds and private companies. Today, ESP has three main areas of activity; (i) strategy consulting (ii) incubation/ acceleration of SMEs and (iii) investment.

ESP’s most recent project is an incubation program (Rwanda Youth Tourism Incubator) as part of the MasterCard Foundation, Hanga Ahazaza initiative. This program will offer selected young entrepreneurs in Tourism and Hospitality sector with a range of support including business development services, mindset training, free work space and access to grants and other financing.

ESP is looking for a self-motivated and talented Communications Manager to lead in producing high-quality content for this initiative and for ESP more broadly.

An exceptional candidate will be offered a full-time position in Kigali.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Create informative, relevant and engaging content for the initiative and for ESP Rwanda as needed
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategy for the Rwanda Youth Tourism Incubator.
  • Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all marketing materials.
  • Supervise creative agencies program-related designs.
  • Lead the public relations of our events.

Qualification and experience

The prospective candidate should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience creating a robust online community is needed.
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
