Teddy manages ESPartners’ West Africa Operations from Abidjan. Passionate about entrepreneurship development in fragile economies, Teddy joined ESPartners in 2011. His ambition is to leverage entrepreneurship to foster prosperity across Africa and beyond. Since joining ESPartners in 2011, Teddy has led several engagements in Haiti, East Africa and West Africa.
In his client work, Teddy has advised private equity funds and enterprises on issues ranging from strategic audit to regional growth strategies. He has also worked with development partners such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank Group, the African Development Bank on issues related to growth, entrepreneurship and private sector development. In Cote d’Ivoire, Teddy has led numerous engagements with Cote d’Ivoire Private Sector APEX organization—CGECI. In 2013, he co-led, the launch of A&E—ESPartners’ entrepreneurial platform.
Prior to joining ESPartners, Teddy held several positions in Corporate Finance. In his last position, he was responsible for screening the Chinese market for a major consumer goods company in Beijing. Teddy also worked at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in Washington DC.
Teddy has earned a M.A in International Economics and International Relations from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at the Johns Hopkins University, as a Lindmor Fellow. At SAIS, Teddy majored in conflict management and focused its curriculum around post-conflict reconstruction and post-conflict economics. He also earned a B.A in Finance and economics at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Montreal.
Teddy is fluent in French and English and proficient in Italian.
