Village d'Umusambi

is a beautifully restored wetland area, providing a sanctuary for over 50 endangered Grey Crowned Cranes saved from the illegal pet trade. These majestic birds have been disabled as a result of captivity and are unable to be returned to the wild.

Prides itself on serving fantastic food, in a great environment, at a great value. Before the pandemic, the restaurant’s commitment to exceeding expectations made it one of the most popular dining destinations in Kigali.


Is another one of the 60 highly innovative companies that formed part of the KOMEZA program. With the pandemic almost forcing the venture to complete closure, the program gave Store2Door another chance at impacting the market in its unique ways

House of Tayo

Founded by Matthew Rugamba, is another one of the 60 businesses that participated in the KOMEZA program. As a clothing brand showcasing African sophistication, style, and flavor, the enterprise is a very critical player in Rwanda’s tourism value chain.

Wood Habitat

Being a part of the KOMEZA program came with a lot of learning, reinventing, and continuous execution. The program participants were challenged to take the knowledge, skills, and resources that the program gave and turn their enterprises into even more impactful businesses than they were before the pandemic


Amandine Juru, manager at Cocobean Bar and Nightclub shares her experience as a part of the KOMEZA program. Cocobean, a famous spot for many locals in Kigali, used to operate mainly as a nightclub with its day restaurant working to compliment its regular revenue from the club
