Introducing our new Senior Sustainability Partner: Firoz Ladak
We are delighted to announce that Firoz Ladak has joined Entrepreneurial Solutions Partners (ESP) as
our Senior Sustainability Partner. Firoz brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the fields of
impact-driven philanthropy, sustainable investments, and economic development.
During his tenure as CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Foundations from 2005 to 2022, Firoz successfully
managed a global network of foundations focused on entrepreneurship, health, education, and the
arts. His background as an investment banker with Paribas has equipped him with the skills to
navigate ESG-compliant investments, aligning financial returns with environmental and social goals.
Firoz’s passion for frontier markets led him to establish the Swiss foundation ERFIP (EmpoweR
Families for Innovative Philanthropy), where he currently serves as President. ERFIP brings together
philanthropists and investors, fostering collaboration to promote solutions in economic development
and climate resilience. With a diverse network spanning over 150 families from Africa, the Middle
East, Latin America, and Asia, Firoz has cultivated invaluable connections across these regions.
Firoz was also a founding member of CREO Syndicate in Europe, a community of investors focused on
the climate crisis. Through his involvement, Firoz is dedicated to finding innovative solutions and
driving positive change.
Firoz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McGill University and a Master of Philosophy
from the University of Oxford.
In addition to advising ESP on its global strategy, Firoz is building a flagship initiative that will
foster green entrepreneurship and climate investment in Africa. His experience and contribution will
strengthen our sustainability practice and harness our impact in driving inclusive growth across the
continent with our multiple stakeholders.
We are thrilled to welcome him to the ESP team. His extensive experience, international network,
and dedication to economic development will undoubtedly enrich our efforts to create a more
resilient and sustainable future in Africa and beyond.
