Grow 2 Scale (G2S) is a 5-year initiative by Access to Finance Rwanda (AFR), Entrepreneurial Solutions Partners (ESP), and Business Professionals Network (BPN), in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation. Building on the Hanga Ahazaza initiative, G2S focuses on enhancing employment in the tourism and hospitality sectors while supporting SMEs in tourism and agriculture. Through entrepreneurship support, the program aims to improve livelihoods and the quality of life for entrepreneurs and their communities.
The Bootstrapper Experience
The Bootstrapper Program is an intensive 7-month journey designed to accelerate the growth of businesses led by promising entrepreneurs. With a focus on high-growth sectors, the program provides:
1. Technical Training
Participants receive hands-on training in critical business skills needed to scale their ventures. This includes not only core business competencies but also essential topics such as mental wellness, gender awareness, operational excellence, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices.
2. Access to Market
Entrepreneurs are connected to key market leaders and expansion opportunities through initiatives like market activations, helping them broaden their reach and establish valuable business connections.
3. Access to Finance
Participants undergo investment readiness training, equipping them with skills to attract and manage investments. Additionally, they gain access to financial institutions and funding through the catalytic fund, offering crucial financial support for business growth.
4. Practical Experience
Through interactive sessions, real-world entrepreneurial challenges, and engagements with inspiring business leaders, participants gain hands-on experience and build a strong support network.
5. Competitive Edge
The program fosters a dynamic and competitive environment, encouraging entrepreneurs to innovate, excel, and scale their businesses effectively.

- Participants can access funding up to $10,000, returnable at 0% interest.
- There is also an opportunity to connect with partner financial institutions offering up to $100,000 at 9% interest, collateral-free.
