Position Overview
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Value Creation Coordinator to join our team! ESP is currently undergoing a period of organizational growth, with new complex programs being added to our portfolio on a regular basis and implemented in several countries. As a Value Creation Coordinator, you will coordinate and collaborate with partners and Value Creation team to design and implement an effective program, identifies and monitor Value Creation providers in partnership with the Value Creation lead , oversee and coordinate the Value Creation interventions (internal and external) in partnership with the Value Creation team , manage the relationship with the SME to ensure the different interventions are relevant, effective and general satisfaction of SME, and contributes to M&E monitoring and reporting and identify areas for improvement in the BDS overall approach in other to achieve targets.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Aligning on Selection of Portfolio Companies with the Fund: Collaborate closely on the selection of portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with the Fund’s strategic objectives and criteria.
- Conducting Individual Kick-offs with Portfolio Companies: Facilitate individual kick-off sessions with selected portfolio companies to establish clear expectations and provide essential project context.
- Collecting Initial Database, Information, and Initial Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): Oversee the collection of initial databases, pertinent information, and initiate the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) processes.
- Coordinating Missions Organization: Manage the organization and coordination of missions, ensuring efficiency and adherence to project timelines.
- Ensuring Deliverables Communication and Alignment: Guarantee effective communication of deliverables and ensure alignment among all involved parties.
- Monthly Call Reviews, Quarterly Feedbacks, and Phase Reviews: Organize regular monthly call reviews, quarterly feedback sessions, and phase reviews with Portfolio Companies.
- Alignment on Action Plans Internally and with Stakeholders: Ensure internal alignment on action plans and collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure a unified approach.
- Alignment on Processes Across the Portfolio: Oversee alignment on processes throughout the portfolio to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Portfolio Progress Towards Goals: Monitor and facilitate the portfolio’s progression toward predefined goals.
- Alignment through Synthesis, Reports, and Summaries: Provide synthesis, reports, and summaries of calls to ensure ongoing alignment.
- Update of General Planning (Status on IV and Portfolios): Maintain an updated general planning overview, incorporating status updates on Innovation Ventures and portfolios.
- Summarizing Activities Reporting for Reporting: Summarize activity reports for comprehensive and concise reporting purposes.
- Pre-Identification and Qualification of BDS Providers: Collaborate with the VC team to pre-identify and qualify Business Development Service (BDS) providers.
- Coordinate Communication and Alignment with Consortium Partners: Facilitate communication and alignment with consortium partners and other stakeholders, particularly on matters related to technical support, ensuring effective implementation of VC support.

Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field is commonly required. Some positions may prefer candidates with a master’s degree.
- Relevant professional experience in areas such as project management, business development, strategy, or finance is often essential.
- Previous experience working in a similar coordination or management role, especially in the context of value creation or venture capital, is highly valuable.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data, performance metrics, and financial reports. The ability to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for value creation is crucial.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are important for effectively liaising with portfolio companies and other stakeholders.
- The ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely is vital.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools to coordinate and oversee various aspects of portfolio management, ensuring goals and deliverables are met.
- The capability to think strategically and contribute to the development of value creation strategies for portfolio companies.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, portfolio companies and other stakeholders.
- Depending on the specific industry focus of the role, knowledge of that industry, market trends, and relevant business drivers is beneficial.
- The capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and navigate ambiguity. Value Creation Coordinators often work in dynamic environments that require flexibility.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners, including BDS providers, consortium partners, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and roadblocks in the value-creation process.
