Position Overview

As a Junior Analyst in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), you will play a crucial role in one of our flagship programs at Entrepreneurial Solutions Partners (ESP). You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting essential data to measure the impact and effectiveness of our program. This position offers a unique opportunity to directly contribute to our mission of fostering economic prosperity through entrepreneurial development in Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Survey Management and Data Collection
  • Design and conduct quantitative and qualitative surveys required by the program
  • Ensure regular and reliable data collection, implementing quality control systems
  • Performance Indicator Monitoring and Analysis
  • Monitor and analyze key program performance indicators
  • Prepare data reports for quarterly and annual reviews
  • Evidence Generation and Learning
  • Produce evidence to support program learning activities
  • Identify trends and insights from collected data
  • Partner Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with our learning partner, Genesis
  • Coordinate M&E activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Data Visualization and Communication
  • Create clear and impactful data visualizations for various audiences
  • Contribute to writing reports and presentations on program results

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Statistical Analysis and Data Visualization
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python)
  • Advanced skills in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Results and Indicator Monitoring
  • Experience in developing and tracking performance indicators
  • Understanding of M&E methodologies in the context of international development
  • Survey Management
  • Experience in planning and coordinating qualitative and quantitative surveys
  • Ability to effectively analyze and disseminate survey findings
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent team spirit and ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Strong orientation towards learning and continuous improvement
  • Communication
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English
  • Ability to present complex data clearly and concisely

Educational Background and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field; Master’s degree preferred

At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, ideally in the development or entrepreneurship sector

Knowledge of the African entrepreneurial context is a plus
